Amigos Del Bosque
A Collaborative Effort Bridging the Gaps Between Communities, Cultures & Nature
The Forest-Information Team (FIT), Amigos del Bosque (Friends of the Forest), conducts bilingual outreach, specifically targeting the Latino community with educational programs about the Texas Piney Woods ecology -the plants and animals of our region.
Based at Stephen F. Austin University, they frequently assist with educational programs at the W.G. Jones Forest in Conroe.
