HEARTWOOD CHAPTER

I recently stumbled across an interesting documentary, The Botany of Desire by Michael Pollan.  This documentary traces the history of 4 plants: Apple, Tulip, Marijuana and the Potato.

I have only watched the part on Apple and Tulip and found this film very interesting. Even though this may not be Texas specific, this film highlights interesting things such as how the Apple came to be in America. Understanding how social trends may have affected plants and how a non-native plant spread in the New World.
