A quarter million (250,000) Mexican Free-tail bats live throughout the Waugh street bridge crevices and they emerge starting at dusk for many hours from bridge.

PRESENTATIONS - 20 MINUTES BEFORE SUNSET - on the 1st & 3rd Friday nights Information about the Waugh Street bats will be given by Texas Parks & Wildlife staff & volunteers (Houston Bat Project team members) when their personal schedule permits. Even if the volunteers cannot be there for a presentation, there is an information board for you to read.
